SOLVED. Romance book about troubled bother who falls in love with a vet. after his dad dies his half-brother is sent to live with him and they are both traumatized by their past. It is a romance HEA. Spoilers ahead. [s]

ok so in the book there is a woman who can communicate with animals. her profession is a vet. she ends up on a farm with two brothers. The brothers are half-brothers who don't really talk to each other. In the book, both brothers were abused by their dad during Christmas time. which in turn made them hate the Christmas time. There are instances where someone is trying to hurt them. The brothers' dad isolated them from everybody and they lived on a ranch. There was a scene in the book where a cougar was hurt and the women coaxed it to come out so that she could help it. At the end of the book, the brothers find out that their dad had hidden something away that was illegal and one of the ranchhands found a map that led them to the treasure. They stayed in the mountains on a ranch and I believe that one of the ranch hands was named Alfred. Also, the younger brothers' name could have been Jace...I'm honestly not sure

The book is a HEA storyline. I'm not sure when I read the book but I do know that it was within the last 5 years. That doesn't mean that the book came out then, It is a romance book but I can't remember the title or the author.
