Thoughts about POV/Mystery behind the Triangle

First off I just finished this book and loved it! I thought her POV switching was awesome, just naming the character Prince or Assassin. I loved the mystery behind not knowing who was who. Thoughts?

It was amazing! But after the author and the MC revealed who was who, I was so confused... I wanted Lia to end up Rafe (who I thought was the assassin) but it turned out he was actually the prince... Confused or not, it made me want to read it again so I could understand it better.

I did love the mystery. In other books, it usually tells you who's who but in this book, the mystery was refreshing and new. :)

I was also confused at the beginning due to they way they were described at first. It wasn't until the POV switched that I knew who was who. RAFE all the way!!!

I am glad that I am not the only one who though Rafe was the assassin. Finding that out, definitely made me want to reread the book to see if I missed anything else.

Omg! I thought it was absolutely brilliant. When Lia met the boys and described them, I thought I was so smart thinking I knew who was who. Like Rafe was portrayed with dark features and broody with scars on his hands - and later on he was described as being comfortable with dead bodies. On the other hand, Kadan was blonde and charming. So I though the author was trying to hide their identities but I just felt so smart putting the clues together and coming to the conclusions that Rafe was the assassin and kaden was the prince. And then BAM! The big reveal. I was literally freaking out when we found out who was really who. The author was so clever to mix up the prince/assassin stereotypes. And honestly, if I didnt think Rafe was the assassin for half the book, I probably would have been team Kaden.

I also realized that when I was feeling glad about that one scene where the prince was overhearing a conversation between Lia amd her friend about what they thought about him, because I figured it was kaden and that he's finally back off. Only it was really Rafe and I felt so bad for him for overhearing that. No wonder he was so hot and cold with Lia.

Oh, when I was reading that part with Kaden coming out with the barbarians I thought the prince had hired them. Then a few sentances later I was wondering how I missed/confused Rafe for the assassin and Kaden for the prince. ...Actually, I thought I remembered Rafe talking to the barbarians in Terravin, knowing who they were (He asked what they were doing there. Think this was at or around the first day of the festival.)

Yea, I didn't think who was who was suppose to be a mystery, I thought it was just becuase their names hadn't been mentioned yet.

I get where the author is coming from now about not knowing who was who but I honestly hated it. I was building these characters in my head and then BAM! half of the character traits and interactions aren't with who I thought they were and I got SO confused! I just feel like I don't know who the characters are anymore and that the foundation of their relationships is now unsteady because they are all mixed up. It made me frustrated to go back and have to relearn the story.

I just got to the part where it's mostly revealed about who they really are and I was so confused I stopped reading and googled it...

when I read the part when he came out of the woods I was soooo confused beacause from the begining I thaught Rafe was the assasin beacause he was so dark and mysterious. The author did a great job with mixing prince sterotypes(blonde, boyish, charming) and I felt soo smart because i had figured out who was who. It took me a while to get used to Rafe being the prince and Kaden being the assasin but in the end I loved it so mutch. Team Rafe:)

Gosh, I was extremely confused. I was having a lot of trouble figuring out who was who, and I thought it was just me that was struggling. The thing with Rafe's hands and the nicks really threw me off as well.

I loved it, for some reason I didn't think it was supposed to be a mystery(or I thought for sure I knew who was who). So I went through the whole book thinking Rafe was the assassin. When Kaden came tumbling out of the woods with the barbarians I was freaking out haha.
