I loved all the excitement of the chase when Cabrillo's team was trying to escape with the Golden Buddha and I liked their cleverness in their disguises and plans to infiltrate Ho's party, but the ending with all the political machinations was a little bit boring. I'll be interested to read the next book in this series to see if I enjoy it more than this one. This was just a 3-star read for me.
