Sonya feels very flat to me. I want to sympathize with her, but she has so little substance. She just cries and feels sorry for whomever is suffering (even if that person brought it on himself for no good reason and shows no remorse). Honestly, I think the only interesting thing about her is that Dostoevsky made his golden girl a prostitute.
