Absolutely! A friend's daughter played on a collegiate team about 2 years ago.

Up votes:
- Foreign literary prize: lots of choice and it would encourage me to look at awards and books that might not already be on my radar.
- News story: I like how open this is, I might read nonfiction about a contemporary event or a novel about someone affected by current events.
- Beautiful writing: because good writing is one of the main things I look for in a book so I’d enjoy looking for books that are renowned for beautiful writing.
- Olympic sport: I love sport and I’d use this to read a biography of a favourite athlete or a book about tactics in one of my favourite sports.
- Set in the Southern Hemisphere: because I always enjoy being encouraged to read books set in countries other than the UK or US.
Down votes:
- ALA list: although I liked some of the books on the list, I feel like there have been a lot of US-centric lists in recent years and so this didn’t really inspire me.
- Sea creature: most of the books I could see that would qualify are fantasy and that’s not usually a genre I read (but then again, I like being pushed outside my comfort zone so I won’t mind too much if it wins, I’ll just need some inspiration from the group to help me choose)
- Water on the cover: just because I had trouble finding books for water related prompts last year so I instinctively didn’t like this one.
I only used 7 of my votes this week. I debated and debated but there just wasn't another that I felt strongly about.

(I am SO GLAD we won't have to wait until Monday!)"
Fingers crossed that we don't have to wait until evening for the results post! I know the mods are busy people but...excited. :)
