When we first met Briar, she was just known as “B.” Now we know she worked for The Company (CIA). Is that what you guessed?

[Laura]

I thought she was more off the grid than that.

[Jonetta]

She was a covert assassin, what they refer to as “wet work.” It was a little further off the grid than I’d expected.

[Anita]

In the last book she had a real aura of mystery and the sparks between Matt and "B" were wonderful.

I read out of order so I already knew who "B" was and how it ended for Matt and Blair, but seeing how her character and their romance developed was great.

[Jonetta]

Yay! I was hoping you liked their romance, Anita. You and Laura are my measure marks given that I lean more towards the action.

I didn't really think she worked for the CIA. I thought it would be more of a unit that shall not be named...I pictured something like Jennifer Garner in Alias.

[Jonetta]

Ooh, that was creative, Karen!

[Anita]

It was kinda like that. The Valkyrie Program was top secret and they were only sent on special ops.
