Fan Christian Jiang (christianj) | 2 comments Hi! I have this book, “Tutti i romanzi: L’esclusa / Suo marito”, which has two books written by Luigi Pirandello: “L’esclusa” and “Suo marito”. I really want the reviews for both books to show up on the page, but when merging them, it says that 2-in-1 books shouldn’t be merged. Why isn’t this allowed? And what can I do in order to have some type of reviews showing up? The edition itself isn’t that common, but the books it contains are very famous!

Thank you in advance for your help.

Think about it in this way:

The book you are looking at is a sort of omnibus. There are a lot of omnibus. There are omnibus of 10 book series. In order for all the reviews for all the books inside an omnibus to show, all the individual books in that omnibus would have to be merged into one book.

How would people be able to locate the individual book reviews they wanted to read if they were all jumbled together, willy-nilly? You wouldn’t. So omnibus are never merged in that way.

What you can do is create an edition of that book that is NOT merged with the others.

Thank you very much for your quick response! You’re absolutely right – I’ll keep that in mind.

Looks like it’s not even that important to have all the reviews together. I think there was a psychological factor at play – I wanted to feel less “lonely” while reading that book. I know, it doesn’t make sense :)

MrsJoseph *grouchy* (mrsjoseph) | 535 comments It totally makes sense! I mean, this is a social network, lol. We're all interested in sharing - at least a little bit. :-)
