I'm hoping to read again a series but I totally forgot the title. I read it on 2015. From what I remember, the whole theme is about mind powers (manipulation/reading) and in the first book, the hero was cursed by his former friend to be trapped in a building, no matter what damage is done, the building restructures back to its original state. The heroine approached the hero and asked him to teach her how to control the power, then later helped the hero in breaking free from the curse.
