Elizabeth (Alaska) I've been getting covers mostly from Amazon.com but occasionally from publisher websites. However, I note in Rivka's post here, the words "and its subsidiaries" is included. Does subsidiaries include ABE Books and The Book Depository now that Amazon owns them? Or are they not considered subsidiaries in this context.

Elizabeth, thanks for bringing this up. In fact, since Amazon does own both ABE Books and The Book Depository, they can be used as sources for book covers and other data.

Elizabeth (Alaska) Thank you so much for getting back so quickly. This will be a great help.

Philip (burnnerman) | 5912 comments Very nice to know, because there was a couple time I saw them on those sites and not on amazon, so I did not use them.

Werner | 109 comments Is it acceptable now to use cover images from Amazon itself here on Goodreads? (At one time, we were explicitly told NOT to do that.)
