I just finished listening to the audio. The book was entertaining but it's not going to win any awards. It is a light little paranormal mystery I also thought that the narrator's reading was a bit on the over-dramatic side. That said, I enjoyed the plot and its twists. I also enjoyed the (view spoiler)[ scavenger hunt-like bit where Helen goes around collecting relics from haunted sites. Very Original. (hide spoiler)]

Just finished, and I really enjoyed it. I can understand how some people didn't like the whole building of the house alone scenario, but that didn't bother me at all.

I finished this yesterday and it didn't really do it for me. I've read a lot of McMahon, but I had a hard time getting into this one. I'm curious, did anyone else feel that Olive seemed much younger than 14? I thought she seemed like a 9 or 10 year old to me. I think my main issue was that I didn't feel any connection to Nate or Helen. But I really like this author so I'll continue to read her, this just wasn't one of my favorites.

I'm enjoying this book so far, it's creepy- I like creepy. The pace in good which good pace is not always promised in a psych thriller! I can't wait to see if Helen is completely consumed by the ghost at the end!!
