Renae I haven't seen the movie yet but I'm confident that the changes will be good for the movie. I read TMR recently and while it was good, I did think "this would make a better movie"

I do have a question for anyone that has seen the movie, is the Glader slang in the movie a lot? or at all? It really annoyed me in the book, lol.

Emma It's in there, but not as much as its in the book. They do say 'shit' a lot which isn't in the book :p

Kelly Brigid ♡ Well, that's a little unfortunate, I kind of liked how terms such as "shuck" kinda took the place of ya know...the other word XD

Renae Oh okay. I just mentally replaced words like 'shuck' in the book with an actual cuss. I understand why the author didn't actually want to use 'profanity' but, I'm not a 13 year old. lol

kirstin ✿ It's already showing here in the Philippines and I can't go until the 19th because of schedules! >_<

Ira Sriwulandari for those who've watched the movie, can you guys explain a bit about how the movie handled the ending?
i remember that the book ended with a letter like epilogue, how about the movie? how's it done?

message 58: by Majo (new) - rated it 5 stars

Majo They just show like a WICKED meeting, where they say they are going to continue with the trials.

message 59: by Emma (new) - rated it 5 stars

Emma Yeah and James Dashners in it!!

kirstin ✿ By the way guys, am I the only one who (don't read the spoiler if you haven't seen the movie yet!) (view spoiler) You would think that I've already watched the movie by what I know. LOL. Too many spoilers on IMDb >:D

message 61: by Sara (new) - rated it 5 stars

Sara Hamzeh guys i just saw it. LOVED IT. SO SO MUCH. it was amazing i swear. some things were changed but mostly it did the book justice i just ugh, loved it

kirstin ✿ I hope other fans are lije you, lol. I've read some reviews saying that other fans of the book was angry because of the changes made. But not a lot.

message 63: by Sara (new) - rated it 5 stars

Sara Hamzeh Changes have to be made it's the sad reality of movies. it's impossible to have everything from the book look good and appealing in a movie. every change made was absolutely necessary and it didn't take anything away from the story.

kirstin ✿ I just watched the movie! Took a friend with me and she loved it. It was amazing. The movie was definitely much better than the book (imo) but there were still some things in the novel that should have given

kirstin ✿ **but there were still some things in the novel that should have been given a huge part in the film, but I understood why it was done, considering the limited time.

Kelly Brigid ♡ AHHHHHHHHH!!!!!! I NEED TO SEE IT! I was gonna see it today like at 2 with my brothers but my Dad wants to see it with us, so we may see it tonight. I'm gonna die if I don't see it today!

kirstin ✿ Kelly ~ I know the feel! LOL. There was a storm here in the PH and I almost didn't watch it because my mom was overreacting, it's not even raining so hard. But I insisted on seeing it because I just set my mind on it, and if I postponed it, I'd be watching it next weekend. Ugh. So it's now or never, lmao. Not really.

Kelly Brigid ♡ lol. The wait is killing me!

message 69: by Majo (new) - rated it 5 stars

Majo Yes the movie is great, i couldn't wait for all you guys too see it and discuss the movie. Don't die before seeing the movie!!!

Erika I just watched the movie, and I liked it a lot! but it's been a long time since I read the book, I don't really remember it in detail now, so I noticed some changes, but not all of them... It would've been a good idea to re-read the book before watching the movie.

I Just Got Back From Seeing The Maze Runner

Oh My Word!!!!!!!!!!!!

Kelly Brigid ♡ I'm like the only one who didn't get to see it today, huh? Gosh, I wanna see it so badly, and I would've if my Dad didn't have to work late :(

message 73: by [deleted user] (new)

I just came back from seeing the movie like an hour ago. I thought it was very well done, but I was hoping for a little more sincerity because it kind of just felt like everything was changing the whole time and there were no moments of the now. I also wish more things were portrayed the same as in the book. All in all, I was quite satisfied and enjoyed it throughout.
I may have been the only one to catch this so far, but am I the only one who noticed that Alec's name was written on the Maze wall where all the people write their names? If you haven't read the following books, I suggest you look away for spoilers. Alec was supposed to have died long before the creation of the Maze, so what is his name doing on that wall in general, NOT scratched out as well? What does this mean for the future movies?

Kelly Brigid ♡ Julia wrote: "I just came back from seeing the movie like an hour ago. I thought it was very well done, but I was hoping for a little more sincerity because it kind of just felt like everything was changing the ..."

Wait, Alec's name was written on the Maze walls??? I'll look for that when I see the movie, that's very interesting.

message 75: by Emma (new) - rated it 5 stars

Emma Holy shit was it??? I didn't even notice!! I'm seeing it again tomorrow (4th time) I will look out for it

Wendell i guess gally won't be in the Death Cure movie.
Minho killed him in the film

message 77: by Emma (new) - rated it 5 stars

Emma Okay first of all, spoiler ^

And no he didn't. Didn't you notice Gally, moving slightly at the end? He was still alive when they left...

message 78: by Sara (new) - rated it 5 stars

Sara Hamzeh wow thanks a lot dude.
i haven't read the sequels yet, at least type SPOILER

You're not the only one! My little dog had surgery not long ago so I have to stay home and monitor her recovery. I'm hoping by the time she gets the all clear TMR is still at the cinema but if not I'll keep an eye out for it online.

message 80: by Sara (new) - rated it 5 stars

Sara Hamzeh i think Thomas and Teresa DID have the (SPOILER) Telepathic link, but it was sooooo subtle that someone who wasn't looking for it would totally miss it. definitely not emphasized as much as it should have since it's a big part of their relationship

message 81: by Emma (new) - rated it 5 stars

Emma Do you mean in his flashback after he gets stung and they're in the Wicked lab and Thomas says 'Theresa why are we doing this?' Because that seems telepathic.

message 82: by Sara (new) - rated it 5 stars

Sara Hamzeh yeap exactly that

message 83: by Majo (new) - rated it 5 stars

Majo MAY BE SPOILERS IF YOU HAVEN'T SEEN THE MOVIE ---->>>I liked the movie a lot but I didn't liked that the Gladers seemed like ignorant, they had no idea of "the cliff", or about the changing, no one had ever been stung before they say. I didn't liked that aspects but the movie in general i think it was really good.

Jeff Briel The movie was awesome, but honestly, I'm disappointed. But watch the movie to see it for yourselves. :)
