I’m always drawn to stories that carry themes of isolation and rejection, as Frankenstein has always been one of my favorites. But this story also develops and comments on toxic masculinity and the author beautifully uses nature as symbolism for human relationships.
All of these themes are developed as the story progresses with a murder mystery that had me engaged from the beginning. I loved this one.

He listened to this as I was reading a hard copy and it was so fun to discuss it with him as we progressed and he also really liked it.
