Many years ago (early nineties) I remember reading a review about a book written by an American journalist who followed the Mercury/Apollo astronauts around when they became heroes. At the time there was a reporting blackout as the astronauts were cute and all american in the eyes of the public but were actually boozing and womanising behind the scenes, this book lifted the lid on the goings on, does anyone know the name of the book and author please?
