No, unfortunately couldn’t make it this year, Sarah, but wanted to go! It looked great with that fantastic lineup. I’ll definitely make sure I’m there next year ☺️
Heather Morris spoke at our local library last night. It was very good. She's one of those people who can't give a straight answer, it's always expanded into a tale. Anyway The Tattooist of Auschwitz is being released next year on Stan and she also mentioned that her latest book Sisters Under the Rising Sun in the audio book version contains recordings of a Sydney choir performing as a vocal orchestra as in the book.
I like her books Heather, and thought Sisters Under the Rising Sun was her best yet! How exciting that you got to meet her :)
Do you know of any audiobook, only, reader's clubs for say: Bookers, Miles Franklin, Stella style literature fiction.

I'd seriously consider going again for both panel days, and possibly for some of the workshop events, too. It was great! (I'll give you a heads-up when I see / hear anything about 2024).
What is happening with amazon kindle books written by Australian authors.I was looking up some Australian books to read for a challenge and found quite a large number are no longer available to purchase.
Here are some examples:
Sunshine by Kim Kelly
The Things we Cannot Say by Kelly Rimmer
The Year that Changed Everything by Cathy Kelly
The Sanctuary by Judy Nunn
The Only Child by Kayte Nunn

I still have a US account but have been considering finally switching over for this very reason. Not just Australian authors, but quite a lot of books simply aren't available to me any more. The rationale for keeping my account in US was the larger range of books, but it no longer holds true.
It is an AU account. There are so many books not available.
I am thinking now that there may be a problem with the Amazon.au site.

You might be right - that sounds very odd!
Must have been a glitch on the site as the books are now available. Very strange as I checked that Kindle Unlimited was not highlighted, etc. The good news is that the Australian books have not disappeared!
Amazon.com versus amazon.com.au - whenever I go on Amazon it diverts me to Amazon.com.au - obviously detecting my location. But putting my books up on KDP for sale as print and Kindle books represented some challenges. The capriciousness of the Amazon search function is certainly one hurdle to finding the book you’re looking for.
Does anyone know if I can have an Amazon US account and open an Amazon AU account with the same email address? That wasn't doable some time back but it may have changed and I can't find answers on either Amazon site.. Thanks!

I have a US account, and order stuff from the AU site all the time (same account). The only thing I haven’t done is try to buy Kindle books from the AU site. But maybe that’s exactly what you are wanting to do?
It does have an impact on my Prime Reading library, but very minor.
But the way things are with availability of Kindle books on the US site lately, I’m planning to switch over as soon as I’ve finished reading a borrowed book (apparently my library will be cleared as part of the transition, but it’s only 10 books, so I’ll just write down the titles and re-borrow them later)
I've won an Amazon AU gift card Andrea, and I've found out that the only way to have an AU account (and not get rid of the US account) is to use a different email address. So that's what I'll have to do. It'll be fine though - I'll figure it out :) I am very grateful for the gift card!
