Policies & Practices > Audio book Page Numbering: Has something changed??

MrsJoseph *grouchy* (mrsjoseph) | 535 comments Just checking. I updated an audio's page numbers yesterday to 3 pages (book is 3 hours). Today, it was showing me 203 pages. I checked. A librarian has been updating pages and has changed a good deal of audio book page numbers (hours) to standard page numbers.

I have a problem with this if it is a policy change. If it is NOT a policy change, is it ok to start reverting changes while a staff member tracks down the librarian to get them to read manual?

Sandra | 31405 comments I haven't heard of any changes to audio page numbers.

MrsJoseph *grouchy* (mrsjoseph) | 535 comments OK.

GR has done a major disservice with this damn "GR Help" section. That librarian manual set up is rather...not helpful.

I sent the librarian a PM. Hopefully that's enough. Otherwise eventually the database will be really jacked up.

MrsJoseph *grouchy* (mrsjoseph) | 535 comments So. What about all the page number changes? What's supposed to happen?

It's not like I can post the list of edits here and ask for help. That would be "outing" the librarian.

lethe | 16359 comments You can flag the edits for Support to take a look at.

I'll flag one or two. There are 3+ years (but luckily only 3 pages) of edits to shift through.

Flagging is the appropriate action. Discussion in this forum is not.
