As I was scrolling through other threads, I realized the challenge was never really finished. Rules and requirements for Masters and PhD levels were promised but never delivered. I'm fixing that today. This is not going to have the detail level of some of our other challenges. I just threw this together quick based on Jolene's existing work. I made it a little short to make up for this being posted so late. Please as any questions in this thread.

-Your Bachelor's degree must be completed before you move on to your Masters. Both of those must be finished before you move on to your PhD.
-You do not need a new thread for reporting. You can record your progress in your Bachelor's thread.
-All of the sub-genres come from the Historical Novel Society website. I will link the website. Participants are responsible for doing their own searches within the site. Under the "book review" tab, a drop down menu gives you the option to search by genre, by period, by century, etc. If you have questions about a specific book meeting a requirement, please ask but moderators will not be doing lots of extra outside research. This is your challenge.

Connie G (connie_g) Gretchen, for the Masters, there is one category to read three books, and ten categories to read one book so that would be 13 books total. Were you going to add more categories, or have us double up on some of the categories to equal 15 books?

I will have to go back and check my notes. I had enough categories for 15 books.

Susan | 3 comments Sorry I'm new to groups. How do I find the Bachelors challenge? Also, do books we have read count or only new ones? Thanks--this sounds like fun. SusanQ

Jemima Raven (jemimaraven) | 153 comments Thanks for this Gretchen! I have added one category to the list to make up to 15 - still two books short! I went to the link you listed and selected 'adventure' and 'Inspirational' genres as that were two you hadn't used from that list. If that is all good I will proceed. If not, let me know and I'll change it. I can sense everyone is pretty busy at the moment, so I'm taking an independent decision, for now ;)

Hi Susan look under HFU Challenge 2019, Subheading HFU 2019. You start your own thread under the HFU Challenge 2019 section (click it then click add new thread). If you click on one of the group members HFU it will give you some ideas on how to set it out.

I finally found my notes back. Things should be updated and the numbers should line up now.

LemonLinda (lwilliamson0423) | 626 comments Back in 2014 I really enjoyed working on reading books to complete the HFU BA History major which I completed on 6/03/14.

I would like to continue this and work on the Masters and PhD reading. Should I just start a new post under the 2019 HFU thread?

The following is my thread from 2014. Hopefully I can just start afresh with my Masters reading. Also, can I start now and continue into 2020 or should I wait until January of 2020? And can I use book read earlier this summer which work for the tasks or should I start on a given date?

Wanda (wanda71) I finished my MA in October 2017. I used the requirements that were current at the time. The total number of books was 21. Would it be possible to work toward my PHD following the now current requirements?

Here is the link to my MA.
