Hi, I believe I read this book in the eighties. It was a fantasy book about a girl/young lady who lived with a witch. The witch had put a stone in her stomach or something so that she always walked with a stoop. She also made her wear a bandanna as she said she was ugly. Of course, she was far from it but she did not know that. The witch dies I think and the girl sets off with companions who have also all been given a stone to make it difficult for them. One os a goldfish with the stone in its mouth, I think there is a dog and a few other animals. It is about their travels and how they get rid of the enchantment. Not sure if it was YA, I seem to remmeber a bit of naughtiness going on.
