I'm a ridiculously big NFL fan. I'll watch the New England Patriots play any day. (I actually got to see them play not too long ago. VERY cool! I was only ten yards from Tom Brady.)

Haha I actually love fly. Along with back, it's my best stroke. Distance isn't my best...though I have completed the 100 x 100s two years in a row.
What's your best event?

I honestly have no idea what y'all are talking about!! ;) I know ballet, and that's it for sports!

You're still allowed to swim 50s? Lucky. I haven't been able to swim them for a few years. I'm not the best at breast, but I can make it! haha
Lena, oh don't feel bad. lol Sports are difficult to understand. Wait until you hear me talking about football!

I read, watch tv/movies, play video games, write like a fiend, cook like a ninja, chase my nephews, and clean. A lot of cleaning.
West coast. But my vocabulary is not regional. I picked up a few habits from reading books, and from friends.
I like reading, writing, dancing, playing violin and piano, babysitting, teaching various things, sewing, and many other things I can't think of right now.

That's a lovely combination of things!! What kind(s) of dance do you do?

I took ballet for six years, the last one on pointe, but I quit when I was twelve because it required way too much time. I still do ballet around the house, though. I mostly do Civil War era dances now, like the Virginia Reel and the Posties Jig. (Posties is awesome!) I did take a Scottish Country Dancing class with my family and some friends once, but I don't remember anything but the basic steps. And a few months ago, some young men from my church taught me a little swing dancing. I thought it would be awkward, but they're such gentlemen it wasn't at all. (Seriously, even elsewhere in the homeschool community, I've never met anyone as gentlemanly as the boys in that family.)
I can understand about the time commitment ballet takes!!! Especially when you're taking classes an hour away!
Those other kinds of dance sound so cool!!! :)

Treasure the time, girlie. 100s aren't too bad, but I miss the 50s. Thank God they still allow us to swim the 200 relays! I get to swim the 50 fly then.

well buddy, it could have been a lot worse. Broncos have never beaten the Pats in the Super Bowl. haha My editor is also a Bronco fan, so I'm good.
but how bout that game this weekend?

Considering that the Broncos and Pats are both AFC, them playing in the Super Bowl would be impossible ;P ... The Broncos have beaten the Pats in the playoffs though. The game this weekend should be good. Though I'm not expecting Denver to play their best game. Whenever Manning plays the Patriots in the regular season, he doesn't seem to play his best, so that if and when they face in the playoffs, he has an advantage. Just my own theory.
Yeah, I know. J The Giants are the only team I absolutely despise. The other teams that beat the Patriots (aka the Jets) usually make laughing stocks of themselves. I actually like Manning.
it does seem that way, though he doesn't always play the best in the postseason either. :D

and last year, when the Broncos beat them in the Championship game, there's no hard feelings. Though the Patriots were quite the kick-butt team, their injuries and players just wouldn't have been enough against the 49ers or the Seahawks.

As I draw nearer my retirement, I often think of the hobbies I might take up: leather craft, woodworking, and sculpture all hold my interest. Or, I might return to painting, I was fair with acrylic and watercolor. Presently, my hobby is music composition. If anyone is willing to critique my work, go here http://www.reverbnation.com/danielher... and let me know what you think.
A pat on the back is never amiss. Thanks.
