message 55: by Paul (new)

Paul R | 66 comments I managed to finish three books this week. I'm continuing a series with "Just Say (Hell) No: Escape to New Zealand, Book 11" by Roselind James. I guess you could say I like the series. Also, I finished "Rollback" by Robert Sawyer. This Canadian author presents intriguing near-term speculative fiction. This novel includes both possible turning back the human physical clock and first alien contact. My third book this week was “Spring Break Secret Baby” by Tracey Lorraine that I finally finished after a couple of false starts. It was okay; not a must read.

I recently finished 2 books: 'Ironweed' by William Kennedy (which was very depressing but good & cool because it's set in Albany) and 'Python in Easy Steps' by Mike McGrath (which is a very good intro/overview to computer programming & logic for all ages.)

I just finished The Lonely Hearts Hotel by Heather O'Neill. I picked it from the list of recommendations for last week's themed read and really enjoyed it. Thanks!

Joyce (graceful_j) | 7 comments I'll try playing along again. I'm currently reading Piers Anthony's Cluster. He was my favorite author in middle school and after enjoying his popular series when I was younger I thought I'd try to find his earliest work now. And looking at the Adult Reading Program bingo card I see it was a good choice as there's the suggestion square of "a book about space (fiction or non-fiction).
