Welcome Merenwen! I just wanted to say - how fun that you have guinea pigs! I've had a TON over the years. Sadly, I am guinea-pig-less right now. My "record" was five at once because the mama had three babies - they were so precious! (well, they still are, though they aren't babies anymore, and I don't have them).:)

Thanks for the welcome! :D@Raechel: Oh, dear, I don't think we'd be able to handle guinea babies...too much cuteness! ;) How big did yours get? Did you ever do anything like an outdoor cage/garden for them?

What are some of your favorite songs? Two of my favorites: Hymn for the Missing and Let it Burn. (My little sister can play an awesome mashup of the two on the piano!) ^.^
@Merenwen I know - they were SO adorable!! The male got pretty big - the normal size of a guinea pig, but the girls stayed rather petite. They were almost the same size as adult piggies as they got older, but definitely a little smaller. No, not really. I kept them all upstairs in my room (between two/three cages), but in the summer when I'd clean their cages I would put them outside under their wire cage top so they could get fresh air and fresh grass. Although, I did pick grass to feed them all summer long, and lettuce in the winter instead of store-bought food - they live so much healthier and longer that way. I had a guinea pig that lived until he was almost 9 :)How big are your piggies, and do you keep them in or out?

@Raechel: We have two girls, named Sunny and Brownie. Sunny is a multi-colored long hair, Brownie is a one-colored short hair.Our piggies live inside, though we're building a small garden for them to run around in when it's not too hot. We're planing kale, grass (we can't put them on our lawn; the ground has been sprayed with so much weed killer over the years), and a couple other things for them to munch on.
They're just under the size of a football (each). Sunny's the larger of the two, and looks like a small rug when she lays flat. It's so cute!!! Yet depressing...they mostly just sit all day. :P
Hopefully they'll want to run around a bit when we put them outside...

@Merenwen Aw, that's so cute! They sound adorable. I've seen long haired guinea pigs like that (when they lay flat and look like a rug) - it is so funny! Mine were mostly short hair, but I had a couple with crazy hair that spiraled, and two that had curly hair. :) Enjoy your piggies! And thanks for telling me about them - I really enjoyed hearing about them since I love guinea pigs. :)

Yes. :) And probably my last, at least until I graduate in a few years. My copy has irritatingly small print, and my school is too strict about this reading program that doesn't really leave room for re-reading. So, although I'm enjoying the book, I don't think it's a good idea for me personally to read it multiple times.
