They were paperbacks but maybe you had a library bind?

The book i remember seems to be for a younger reader, i was in junior school so around 10. I can't be sure but i don't think it was part of a set.
I reckon it could have been a ladybird book or the like with younger style illustrations.
Thanks again...I'm sure I'll get it soon. :)
No response, moving to Abandoned folder.

It was an A5 size with a hard card cover (unfortunately i can't remember the cover art but im sure id recognise it immediately ) book in which you chose how the story went - I'm almost certain it wasnt an official Choose Your Own Adventure.
It had awesome fantasy art throughout and did not need dice or any other paraphernalia.
One of the main things i remember was a part where you are to cross a lake by using lily pads with multiple options, possibly while avoiding a nasty frog. It had all the usual fantasy stuff like dragons, trolls etc.
It was a relatively thin book but had pretty varied branches.
Id love to be able to track this down and i thank in advance anyone who might have a clue yo what it was called.x.
