It was in Misery. Great scene.

Christine (christine007) | 28 comments I always had a problem with the description of Jake being crushed by the car after being pushed. All squishy gut imagery and what not.

Actually, everything Jack Mort did was pretty icky.

Christine (christine007) | 28 comments Oh, that's the DT series...but I'm sure most know that :)

Jolie (joliegirl) | 9 comments The actual scenes of gruesome demise are not necessarily the things from his books that disturb me the most.
It's two phrases actually:

"We all float down here." from IT
"Slick, so slick." from Dead Zone

Even if out of context and I hear them in everyday goings on, if there is a slight (imagined?) sinister delivery of them, I will visibly shudder!

Lori (barfield) I got nauseated when Susannah/Mia was eating bugs, bad meat, and all the other disgusting crap they saw as great banquet food.

Jena (outlanderfan74) I cannot stand to read scenes where animals die!!! King is always so vivid with his imagery, which is usually a great thing. But the "animal killing" scenes really disturb me, and he seems to put at least one scene like that in several of his novels, (Duma key, Christine, It, Pet Sematary, etc.)

Kit★ (xkittyxlzt) | 612 comments There's never been any parts of any of his novels that I've skipped over but I have to agree, any scenes where poor innocent animals get hurt, or killed bothers me, especially if it's detailed like the scene in the Dead Zone. And poor Oy! I cried for him, all that build up of affection for him, then he dies... wow, even though I knew it was coming it was still bad. The whole mother/baby relationship there in Salem's Lot was terrible too. It didn't bother me so bad before I had a baby of my own but afterwards... I can't stomach the thought of anyone hurting a poor tiny little baby, made me sick to my stomach. I can't think of any others off the top of my head though...

DITTO on the creepshow dude! The cocroaches scene STILL to this day makes me throw up in my mouth and convulse from the creepyness!
