I think Maeve was determined to keep Una safe and get her out of the Tombs as quickly as possible. She wasn't worried about her actions being appropriate. She is very resourceful.
Maeve was trained as an operator and her promise to Mrs. O’Neill was that she would help. Once she agreed to do that, everything she did was appropriate as well as smart. I was impressed.
I was impressed, but not entirely surprised. Maeve is a resourceful young woman and she did what was best to keep her promise to help Una.
