I hope everyone has a great weekend. Anyone have any fun plans?

I hope everyone has a great weekend :)

Lots of housework this weekend and then afternoon tea with my girlfriends on Sunday which I am very much looking forward to.

@Megan - I'm sure it's nice to have an event-free weekend, right? Enjoy your time with your friend!
@Joanne - I hope you have fun and aren't too exhausted with all the shopping, cleaning and partying!!!

I'm back from my trip. I have TWO puppies now - just for a day I think. My brother's puppy is here - they are at Yellowstone which is not dog-friendly. Fang gained 5 pounds this week! He is now 26.4 pounds. He got lots of compliments over the weekend - he's really a well behaved huge puppy (knock on wood)

I think U books would be the priority since we need them to spell our word. I can get a good number of sports books in this week and I think Melinda has a couple. I've got two I need to post - I'll do that in the morning - and I'm reading another and have a 4th on deck plus a long list of others I want to read. I'm trying to read longer books, but if it gets closer to the deadline I've got a number of shorter ones I can bang out quickly.

Fang is 10.5 weeks now - still so young! The other dog is his sister so I'm hoping they will just wear themselves out :)

How's everybody doing? I can't believe this is our last week - this challenge has gone by very fast!

Nice work!! We have spelled out our word twice already and read 8 books for the genre.
For a 3rd spell-out we need 4 books with the easier letters of E, R, C, S

I'd forgotten this morning that I have to do a review this week for a short book - darn it. It starts with "R" though, so at least it has a letter in our word.

Although I am really in need ofmore relaxed & random reading, finishing a team challenge always feels kind of weird & a bit sad.

Its sure been fun being on a team with all of you. Thanks so much!!

This has been a fun challenge with You All.
I think we have done our best considering the smallness of our Team!
@Sandy - A BIG THANK YOU FOR CAPTAINING OUR TEAM! ;)
@Joanne- yes, LOST is the word I was looking for - this is precisely how I feel after a Team Challenge ends, but now I know that 2 of those challenges/year is my limit. Last year I did more and I got close to a reading burnout, I want to avoid that.

It's been awesome reading with you all - and I really, really want to thank you all for sticking with it. You don't know how many times, and how frustrating it is, when someone just disappears!! (Hint - if you are ever doing a team challenge you can't finish please just say something to the captain or mods to let them know!)
@Melinda - back at you! You did most of the work, so THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! With the time differences you guys were up and at it long before I even woke up and I appreciate you keeping things on track first thing in the day, Melinda.
I'm working on one more book and I'll get everything logged and posted and get us checked in today by the deadline. I'll let you all know when that's done. I think we'll have a nice week on our points with all the reading you've all done for our final push!

I'm going to go write the review and check in my last book now. I hope all of you have a wonderful remainder of the summer!

It's been lovely playing with you all and I'm sure I will see you all again in other challenges! (Won't be too long until Towers Teams).
Captains you have been fabulous <3
Have a lovely summer everyone!
