ABANDONED. Sci Fi Story about Soldier from our time moving to the future

The Story is about an Elite Soldier that is asked to be put in cryo sleep, before the story starts he's living alone and isolated because he likes his solitude. When he wakes up from Cryo Sleep he's unique as he's the only one left alive with a unique race, humanity having merged to a point that there's only one race of human left. The Humans he meets are scared by his aggression as Humans no longer wage war.

Can you tell us more about the soldier - year he was frozen, why he (and others?) was frozen, during which war, his hometown, special skills, etc.?
