Great, thanks Edie!

Using this to see if I can fond anything on my shelves that would work for NASA.

I only have 10 pages left on my Olympics related read.

Bec | 1337 comments I read 75 pages yesterday 14 June.
I also listened to 5 chapters of the Scorpio races on audio book but have no idea how many pages that would be.

For audio, I usually look at total number of pages on Goodreads, then figure out approximately what percentage of the book I listened to to guesstimate.

Jill | 725 comments The book I am finishing tonight is Home Fire. I see there is a mission called Fire and Smoke. Not sure if that works.

I would think yes. It just says it needs to be related to a mission name. (I had the same thought for With the Fire on High before we used it elsewhere.)

If needed as backup, I have a Jason Segel book on my TBR and 'Jason' is on the mission name list, but I'd be starting from scratch so would take a while to read.

How funny, Jill - I'm about to start Home Fires!

(This won't be counting for a category for any buckets - I probably won't finish it over the weekend, but the pages will still count.)

Sounds good (though I think we still need the illustrated book first if I didn't miss anything).

Jill, we are still waiting on a graphic novel for Bucket 18, so hold tight on that book! But I'm glad you have one... I was nervous!

I just saw that so I will wait to read the very end until I know we are ready for it. I also think we are short on page count.

message 762: by Emily, Conterminous Mod (new)

Emily Bourque (emilyardoin) | 11185 comments Mod
We are only 250 short, so that should be filled in soon... I still have 50 pages to put in myself.

I had wanted to use Home Fire for the Something Borrowed prompt this year, but I own Spinning Silver so I'm using that instead. Both are loosely based on fairytales, if I'm not mistaken.

Mine's actually a different book, Jill, which is why I thought it was such a coincidence!

Tracy (tracyisreading) | 2573 comments Im starting Nimona right now for graphic/illustarated. It should only take me an hour or two to finish. I coould use something light anyways. Its 272 pages so will bring our page count up also.

Great, Tracy! If Alex doesn't check in tonight, we can log your book.

I'm probably heading to sleep soon, so feel free to start working on the next bucket as soon as either Tracy or Alex post that they are finished (and we have met our page count!). Ellie should be on when she wakes up to log in everything but there will be a few hours overlap where neither of us are available.

message 769: by Kelly (new)

Kelly Brown | 371 comments Sorry I have been MIA. I had my nose cauterized this morning, (I know TMI), and my face looks like I have been beaten up. I would not wish this on my worst enemy.

So my page count for yesterday 6/13 was 92.

I did start The Art of Racing in the Rain for the animal category, but I will just do it for pages now. I will see what I can add tonight.

message 770: by Deborah (last edited Jun 14, 2019 07:20PM) (new)

Deborah (dg_reads) | 418 comments I just read Lumberjanes, Vol. 2: Friendship to the Max which is illustrated and it looks like we're past the 32K mark. We should be good to go on to the next bucket unless I'm misreading.

I hope you're feeling better, Kelly!

Alright folks! Last two buckets!

Bucket 19 is up, with the 2020 Olympics book and the NASA book. We also need another 1,500 pages.

On deck is Bucket 20, with the buzzy book and the synopsis with a question. I may be able to finish the buzzy book with How Not to Die Alone, depending on how fast we get to this bucket. We will need another 1,500 pages for this one as well.

Home stretch guys! We are tied up with Ladybug right now... Let's finish strong!

(Ok I'm going to sleep for real this time 😂)

message 772: by Deborah (new)

Deborah (dg_reads) | 418 comments Okay, I just finished Tokyo Tarareba Girls, Vol. 1 which was inspired by the 2020 Olymics and references it throughout, so definitely good on the Olympic front.

I'm breaking for dinner, but should get some more pages in!

message 773: by Samantha (last edited Jun 14, 2019 07:46PM) (new)

Samantha | 1567 comments I only have a few chapters left of The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo I can hold of listening to them until we need a buzzed about book.

It sounds like graphic novel is covered but if need be I can zoom through Kristy's Great Idea tomorrow.

message 774: by Jill (new)

Jill | 725 comments I am done with Home Fire so we are now covered for a book related to a NASA mission.
It looks like we we still need pages to finish bucket 19.

message 775: by Tracy (last edited Jun 14, 2019 09:57PM) (new)

Tracy (tracyisreading) | 2573 comments 272 pages. finished Nimona, I added my pages to the spreadsheet for my days total but not to the overall total, so I'm not sure how many pages we need to move to the last bucket, but I'll keep working on I Just Want to Pee Alone: A Collection of Humorous Essays by Kick Ass Mom Bloggers which works for question in the synopsis.

message 776: by Deborah (new)

Deborah (dg_reads) | 418 comments Looks like we need about 900 pages to get to bucket 20 if my math is close to right. :)

Sounds like we had a few buzzy book options, but I can't remember if someone had a question book? My current read would work, so will check before finishing it tomorrow.

message 777: by Christy (new)

Christy | 61 comments Hi! Not sure if it’s still relevant but I read Barracoon by Zora Neale Hurston, for 193 pages and written by an author of color.
I also read 20 pages of my other book, so 213 for 6/14.

message 778: by Bec (new)

Bec | 1337 comments Thanks to Deborah’s suggestion I’m adding 41 pages for 14 June for audio of the Scorpio races

message 779: by Johanne (new)

Johanne *the biblionaut* | 1668 comments I have a One of us is lying ready to finish - just one chapter left. It has a question in the synopsis and is a buzzy book. So whatever we need when we get there.

message 780: by Ellie (new)

Ellie (patchworkbunny) | 2992 comments We need 583 pages before we can move onto the final bucket. I think we will be covered for the last two prompts by what people are currently reading so it's pages that really matter now. Maybe that'll make your weekend reading less stressful!

Samantha and Johanne are holding off finishing buzzy and question in synopsis books.

Dina | 236 comments I finished Death in St. Petersburg and updated my page count on the spreadsheet.

Edit: I noticed that we met our page count for bucket 19; 1 more bucket to go! Yeah team!!

I just noticed that too! So we're onto the final bucket now - for anyone in progress with buzzy books and books with a question in the synopsis!

message 785: by Johanne (new)

Johanne *the biblionaut* | 1668 comments I read the last chapter of 'One of us is lying'. So question in synopsis down :)

Ellie (patchworkbunny) | 2992 comments Yay! We're on our final bucket guys!

message 787: by Brittany (new)

Brittany Morrison | 478 comments I just finished A New Fear so that’s another 166 pages for our page count. I forgot how rough the night shift is while I was on vaca. I’m heading to sleep, maybe when I wake up you all will have finished all the buckets!

message 788: by Jackie (last edited Jun 15, 2019 05:21AM) (new)

Jackie (heirloomroses) | 211 comments June 14 - 79 pages completed.
Finished the book Meditation for Fidgety Skeptics: A 10% Happier How-To Book

I think this might count for book with buzz from 2017.

Goood morning! I'm SO EXCITED to see that we are on the final push for bucket 20! Looks like, other than our completed books, we need about 800 more pages, so let's read and finish this thing!

(I'm lowkey really excited that we are finishing the buckets before I leave for vacation haha! I want to be online when we celebrate!)

message 790: by Deborah (new)

Deborah (dg_reads) | 418 comments Well done, folks! Wasn't too thrilled that my pup woke me up at 6:30a on a Satursay, but at least I'm here to start reading for the final push! :)

message 791: by Deborah (new)

Deborah (dg_reads) | 418 comments I finished Sorry I'm Late, I Didn't Want to Come: An Introvert’s Year of Living Dangerously which has questions on the back which I think is already covered. More importantly, more pages!

message 792: by Edie (new)

Edie | 1144 comments Added 109 pages which have been recorded.

This has been so much fun. Excited to have been on such a great team. We have rocked this!

message 793: by Tracy (new)

Tracy (tracyisreading) | 2573 comments managed to read another 35 pages last night before i passed out.

message 794: by Samantha (new)

Samantha | 1567 comments Finished The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo which would work for a buzzed about book

message 795: by Nancy (new)

Nancy (nbaker) | 0 comments Sorry havent been available the last couple days. But I did finish The Tale Teller by Anne Hillerman yesterday for 300 pages.

message 796: by Johanne (new)

Johanne *the biblionaut* | 1668 comments Another 244 pages read.

We are almost finished!!

We are only missing 225 pages before we are done with the last bucket!

message 797: by Johanne (new)

message 799: by Deborah (new)
