Nom what you like folks. i must admit..i only know a couple of his albums myself. Just thought i'd do something different! :)Oddly enough Spacepig..i'm in the middle of tidying up my sister's 20 year old Technics HiFi.....currently needing a new bass speaker...if i can work out how to get the old one out...can't see any screws anywhere! It's a nice system, and did cost a bit when new..so hopefully be worth the effort, to give it a 2nd lease of life.

Most important job of my week off done already - new stereo sourced and now in situ. What I have to do now is to work out how the darn thing works,
Well..i guess it was to be expected for a relatively little known artist..but thanks to those who nom'd something.Er Spacey..your playlist link doesn't work.
And on the stereo front..i've just ordered a pair of new main speakers in excellent condition..or so vendor says....which will fix the little matter of a blown bass cone in one of my sister's orginals. I couldn't work out how to get the cone out of hers...the screws are all consealed!
Something weird on youtube just now, trying to work it out. The link address is correct but if you click the link it says it is wrong. But when I copy and paste it from youtube it works jut fine. Leave it with me, I'll beat it.

Well..maybe that's true Tech...i was tryin' to think of something different to nom for a change. But how i feel about a band shouldn't really have any effect..as it's up to others to listen and decide for themselves. After all...the purpose of this thread is to discover artist's work that we would otherwise not normally come across...so to that end...the response wasn't too bad me thinks.
I first discovered AT's music after watching the DVD of Gumball Rally 2003, of which several of Tobin's tracks were used in it. The video however was mostly shite; in fact i only watched it for one chap that had a then brand new Koenigsegg CCR Supercar (the most powerful & fastest roadcar ever, until the Bugatti Veyron came along), and erm....and there was also a cute blonde british lass in a black Lambo too...so along with the music, it made it worthwhile!
Incidentally, that same Koenigsegg, also owned a by some rich brit...also broke the record for the fastest speeding fine ever, in Texas, which still stands today...at a whopping 242mph in a 75 zone! Strewth! And the guy got away with just a fine!

Sorry gang, no internet here last night so we are a bit late closing off. Both Techy and Sera missed the cut off time of 10pm last night, so we have to discount their votes giving us a mere 5 valid voters. Which is a real shame as it means that we now have no clear winner with both Bridge and Vipers Follow You gaining two max points each, gold and silver go to the Duke and Tech, and despite that late surge in popularity, poor auld Spacepig gets left with the bronze for Velvet Owl.Just shows the importance of voting on time :-)
