Alexander Mackey I just finished this book in one weekend! After reading the first of the series over my summer break I was anxiously awaiting a sequel. As a History major I love the detail the author goes in and how he explores and utilizes the language of the time and places to emphasize the story. I can't wait for the third installment.

Michaela Bryant I read the first book and really enjoyed it. The second book was a let down for me. I felt that after all the suffering and agony the bad guy had caused. I had hoped that the author would have given him a taste of his own medicine. However for him to get off so easily. It was a let down. It made me wonder where is the justice? I could understand the idea of not sinking to his evil level and not wanting to let it change the main characters motivations. I am hoping that the author will do in his next book a better job. I will read the next one with that hope in my heart.
