This group will have completed the four-year challenge at the end of this year. For those who complete it, please post below what you got from these four years.

I read some authors I would not have heard of before joining goodreads.I enjoyed reading member's comments on the books in their lists.
I discovered new authors and by choosing books from each decade I was able to fix in my mind when an author published their works. This gave me the ability to compare authors based on what was being published in that period. By reading reviews of the books others chose while doing the challenge I discovered even more.
