The book(S) I’m looking for are all connected. I read it once and want to reread but can’t remember the name(S)
Book one: man is in jail. Women sends him mail all the time. He doesn’t write back. He gets out of jail and goes to find her. She is in hiding, I forget if it is her father that does that. She is at a bar I think with her friend, when the guy shows up. They do some naughty stuff outside of bar then he follows her home when she lives via taxi. Don’t want to spoil book so going into book two : the man and women are both friends of people in book one. They have issues and during their time the guy hires a hit man to track another man down to get revenge.
Book 3 skips I think to the children. Book 4 is another one with the kids
Book 5 goes back to talk about the assassin and his love story. So he has a favour he cashes in to help find his women he been watching. Because she disappears. And he is obsessed with her. She is the daughter of someone who works in a church.
Lots of sex. Some killing. Not sure if it’s mafia related I forget. But the story lines are stuck in my head and id like to reread but good lord I forget the names of books and author.

he does write back but doesn’t send them because her father(mafia/boss man) has people watching him in jail. If he shows he cares for her she will be in danger so he has to pretend he doesn’t care for her.
