This time I'd like to nominate The Shakespeare Conspiracy: A Novel About the Greatest Literary Deception of All Time.and Silent Court
'Mistress Blanche Queen Elizabeth I's Confidante'available from http://www.logastonpress.co.uk/
Note: the Bacton Altar Cloth will go on display at Hampton Court Palace from 12th October 2019 to 23rd February 2020.
Silent Court is the second book in the series. Can we easily follow it without having read the first book, which I believe is Dark Entry?

Anyway, I'll change my nomination with Dark Entry which I've already read and I definitely know is independent from the following books in the series.
I'd like to nominate Henry: Virtuous Prince and John Dudley: The Life of Lady Jane Grey's Father-in-Law.
@Susanna: I just realized that we read
as a group in July of 2010. That sai, it is o.k. if I change my first nomination to
?
To Hold the Crown is OK - the only Jean Plaidy we've had as a Group Read so far is The Lady in the Tower. Which would you like to nominate, To Hold the Crown or Katharine, the Virgin Widow?
If anyone still has a nomination to make, now would be a good time to do so; I'll probably be starting the poll later today.
Alright, I will nominate How to Behave Badly in Elizabethan England: A Guide for Knaves, Fools, Harlots, Cuckolds, Drunkards, Liars, Thieves, and Braggarts by Ruth Goodman, and The White Rose Murders, by Paul Doherty. And with that I close nominations.
The poll is on the bottom of the group's Home page, at the top of its Polls page, or here: https://www.goodreads.com/poll/show/1... .
If voting closed now (which it doesn't), there would be a tie. Between How to Behave Badly in Elizabethan England: A Guide for Knaves, Fools, Harlots, Cuckolds, Drunkards, Liars, Thieves, and Braggarts and Elizabeth's Women: Friends, Rivals, and Foes Who Shaped the Virgin Queen.ETA: Jean Plaidy's To Hold the Crown is only one vote back.
Good Morning,Hopefully, there isn't a come from behind winner, as I just picked up a copy of Elizabeth's Women from the library.
The winner: Elizabeth's Women: Friends, Rivals, and Foes Who Shaped the Virgin Queen. We'll be discussing it here: https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/... .

If it's in a series, can it be easily read as a stand-alone? If not, you might want to nominate the first book in the series, or the most recent book in it the group has not read together.
Can't remember what we've already read as a group? (Sometimes I can't, either.) There's a "group-reads" shelf on the group's Bookshelf.
Two nominations to a person, please.
