Indeed, looks like something of Grandma Moses, but it's not.
This is pretty recent.

rousseau. moses was my first guess as well.

This artist wasn't even born when Rousseau died.

It's David Hockney.
He did this series in 2008.
I'm not at my computer right now, but when I get there I'll post some more pics.
