I'm listening to Swing and reading The Seven or Eight Deaths of Stella Fortuna and The Pillars of the Earth

Sad irony - I was in the middle of reading Tony Horwitz’ Pulitzer prize winning “Confederates in the Attic” (1998) when I learned that he passed away at age 60 last week. I wrote a long review.

That was/is a stunner - that he died while on tour for his latest book. I did not realize that he was married to Geraldine Brooks.

How is Pillars of the Earth? I am curios about what type of voicing acting would be used on it! I have yet to listened to a Historical Fiction fiction on audio yet. I am currently reading, "How We Get Free: Black Feminism and the Combahee River Collective"

Wow. I'm a little behind. I've finished reading: The Moment of Lift: How Empowering Women Changes the World (5*), Commander in Cheat: How Golf Explains Trump (also 5*), Siege: Trump Under Fire (2*), and Lake People (3*).
And I've listened to A Night Divided (3*), A Study in Charlotte (4*), and I Think You're Wrong (But I'm Listening): A Guide to Grace-Filled Political Conversations (3*),Started (and WELL into) We Were the Lucky Ones (REALLY good) and listening to The Trial of Lizzie Borden

I'm listening to Underground Airlines and reading the graphic novel Firefly: The Unification War along with Rick & Morty vs. D&D by Patrick Rothfuss.

Listening to an abridged CD of Rocket Boys for book discussion tonight. It's only 4-1/2 hours. I usually eschew abridged versions, but since I read the unabridged book when it came out, saw the movie when it came out, and have a ton of other books to read and listen to, I decided I could listen to the abbreviated version.

BTW, this book was THE first time I felt the movie did the book justice.
