ABANDONED. Realistic fiction YA novel, can't remember title/author?

I read this book when I was in middle school, around 2012-14. At the time I remember that the librarian said I might be too young to read it due to some of the situations in the book. I don't believe it was new, I feel like the book looked a bit older and it was hardcover and hot pink. The font might have been green? I can't remember if there was a picture on it.

All I remember of the plot was that it was about a girl going through high school, and I think it was part of a series. One notable part I remember vividly is the fact that she started getting so stressed out and depressed that she stopped getting her period for a while. I think she might have been dealing with boyfriend trouble and school drama? The book was not very big from what I remember.

ahhhh the name of the author sounds super familiar but I'm not sure!! Dreamland sounds like it mightve been the closest but I honestly can't remember!

Another suggestion - maybe Girl by Blake Nelson? It's the first book in a series and had a few different brightly coloured covers.

Was the book called Glass by Ellen Hopkins? It's a sequel and a very intense book about a young girl and her addiction.
