SOLVED. Sisters who commit suicide because of family history, possibly because they are related to that German chemist

I remember hearing about this book on a radio show where they talked about it as it related to Fritz Haber, the German chemist who made Zyklon 9. In the book, family members keep committing suicide because of a past sin so big it permeates generations, and the sisters would only be the latest. I think they read an excerpt and the sisters seemed as if they always knew it would happen.

Also it might not be a book and only be a short story? I don't know what the genre is. Sorry I kept trying to find the radio program but couldn't find it, as it probably came out in 2015.
