The end is here.

Dormas is gone. The empire is in ruin, and I'm struggling to come to terms with the girl I've become.

My men are the only bright spot left in the empire. We’re stronger than ever. Determined to find Payne and the cure, we comb through all the destruction, searching for him while trying to evade infected Walkers.

I just hope we can find him in time. Death is breathing down our necks, and I'm starting to worry that my men and I won't survive the end of the empire.

The end is here. And so is a beautiful beginning.

I just finished book 3, so I'll get started on this one shortly.

Ch 6 (26%) - (view spoiler)[ Um, I could use a distraction like Huxley! LOL. Is it just me or does it seem like Ash it taking on too much of the stress of these problems herself considering the world she has grown up in has always been fucked up? Not to say she should be all sunshine and daisies, but I'm not liking her sulkiness. (hide spoiler)]

Ch 16 (68%) - (view spoiler)[ oh fuck. I knew we weren't going to get through the book without one of them being infected, but the doctor and the only one that can actually make the cure, really? I had money on the virgin, Patrick, just so we could get the "I don't want to die a virgin" line. (hide spoiler)]
Finished - (view spoiler)[ The ending actually felt a little rushed to me for some reason. I guess I am happy that the author didn't' draw out them trying multiple vaccines and shit, but I thought we would get a little more into the reestablishment of the Dormas leaders and people's reactions to them giving away the vaccine for free instead of profiting from it like leaders before. I guess that would be a little boring though now that I think about it. I liked the HEA they got, but one thing is bugging me a little - when Ash was considering adopting Payne she said she thought she wouldn't have any children of her own - I just found that odd considering how important family is/was to the harem, etc. Oh well.
