Kriti (kritigandhi) | 24 comments A conversation with Dr Ankita Sapan Marjadi, author of Knock Knock, let's talk,
published by Bluerose Publishers

1. Tell us about yourself.
I am Dr. Ankita Marjadi, Co-founder of Arogyada Online Homeopathy Clinic. I am
also a psychotherapist, entrepreneur, blogger, social activist and a doting mother of
two beautiful girls. I blog on topics like health, relationship, life and its mysteries,
happiness, parenting to name a few. I am a motivational speaker wherein I talk about
life after 40, how to take your health in your hands, how to keep your mental health
good and I also try to educate children regarding good touch bad touch, menstrual
hygiene, how to develop good eating habits. These are the few topics on which
have been trying to contribute my bit to the society.

2. If not being an author, what was your dream in life?
Being an Author was never on the cards. I love writing but that is a form of catharsis
for me. Taking my writing to people who can read and relate have been on my mind
since the time I started blogging and the satisfaction of people being able to relate
and appreciate helped me take a step ahead in this direction.

3. Who do you attribute your success to?
My family both my parents and in-laws have been a constant support. Working at
odd hours was possible because of the immense support of my family members. My
husband who is my pillar, my strength, my friend, love, philosopher and guide who is
always there to motivate and understand me and he is the one who stands by me for
whateverl do is my greatest support. My girls their love has given me strength to do
my best. My bestie Priya is one person for which all definitions of friendship fall
short. I have just written the book, she has made this vision into reality. A few names
more to keep it short as these are people who are there for me just a call away are
Richa and Khushboo. A loving family and wonderful friends is all one needs to be
successful obviously with the attributes of hard work, patience and determination.

4. Any message you would like to give to your readers?
This book is a very light read and can be picked up at any point of time in life.
Though the basic plot is revolving around pregnancy but the attributes taught can be
useful for anyone and everyone. It is book which can help you be positive and which
can help you in personal transformation. Our rich cultural heritage is full of stories
which state the importance of good thoughts during pregnancy and importance of
inculcating good qualities in the baby when it is still in the womb. It is very much true
and I have personally experienced as both my daughters are exactly like I have
penned down for them.

5. Who or what inspired you to write the book?
I had a miscarriage at 7.5 months of pregnancy, precisely 2 days after a grand baby
shower function. I was shell shocked and numbed with the mental agony of not even
getting a valid reason for losing my baby. Six months into depression, I conceived
again with my elder daughter. I was this time so very anxious with each passing day.
To battle my anxieties and to keep a positive mind set, I started writing to my
unborn. I use to talk to my baby in womb about whatever I felt like. This was
something that was very special and to my amazement my rainbow girl is exactly
like I have penned. Going back to mythologies our scriptures are full of stories which
prove this time and again that whatever you think during pregnancy or vhatever you
teach your baby in womb they will follow. Finally after delivering my second baby I
thought of taking this ahead by penning down good qualities for the mom to be to
read which will be beneficial to both the mom and baby duo. Pregnancy is roller
coaster of emotions and tapping the right ones is very essential. This book is to
make that experience happier and easier.
