Would you be able to put links here for the books which ARE your responsibility? You can use the Add book/author link above the comment box to make it easier for you.Secondly, not being a language I can read, is the description of you or Nguyễn Thành Long?
Lastly, the same question as above but regarding the photograph - is it you?
These answers will help us to separate you two from each other :)
Thank you for taking your time to reply. Here are the books I translated: Sáu đợt thức tỉnh, Trạm tín hiệu số 23, Tiên Phong Lên Mặt Trăng, Kết Hôn Với Người Chết, Hòn đảo của Bác sĩ Moreau, Ngôi nhà mũi tên, Vụ án phim trường.And both the description as well as the photograph belong to the AUTHOR, not me.
Side-question: if we can be separated, is it possible for me to keep my name the same as the author's? My real name in Vietnamese is also written as "Nguyễn Thành Long", and it's also what's put on the cover of all my translated book. I only go by "Long Nguyen" when talking to foreigners for better clarity.
These were edited by another librarian to sort your name out. In the future, if you are adding records for books you have translated, you will need to add an extra space in between Thành and Long. The spacing is how Goodreads separates authors with otherwise identical names. Here is the profile for your work: https://www.goodreads.com/author/show...

I've just found out that my profile along with my works have been merged with those of Nguyễn Thành Long, a famous Vietnamese author with the same name as me, who wrote Lặng Lẽ Sapa. This is hilarious, for sure, but it has caused some confusion for some of my readers as well as publishers I work with, so I would very much appreciate it if Nguyễn Thành Long (the author) could be separated from Nguyễn Thành Long (the translator).
Even if you don't believe me to be this particular translator, there's still indisputable proof that Nguyễn Thành Long (author) and Nguyễn Thành Long (translator) are 2 separate individuals. Nguyễn Thành Long (author) died in 1991, while the latest translated work, Sáu đợt thức tỉnh, was published just last week. So unless this Long person is secretly a vampire (which, given my sleeping schedule, is highly likely), it's impossible for him to have both authored books in the 70s and translated them in the 2010s.
