Help me suggest some books!

My friend in high school used to be an avid reader, but he's fallen out of reading for fun! I want to give him some good reading options, but he (only) enjoys realistic fiction (specifically mystery) books (aka not my strong suit). He needs some fast-paced, incredible books, and I need the Goodreads community's help! :)
