How should titles that start with a symbol be sorted?

I'm not seeing this mentioned in the manual but maybe I'm just missing it.

For titles that start with an apostrophe, how should the sort by field be listed? Should it be sorting on the apostrophe (which puts the titles at the beginning of the list)? Or should the sort by field be edited manually to sort by the first letter of the title?
