Anybody got any thoughts on this one before we start?

I'll be starting this in the next couple days!No idea what it's about and have never heard of the authors.. Going in blind but it has been on my TBR for a while!
I got through about 60% of this yesterday. I’m really liking it.. The world building or setting the scene is very detailed and the characters are interesting and fun to follow. I feel like I’m waiting for something bad to happen and maybe it’s coming any minute
All done! 4 Stars for me! That ending definitely left a lot to be imagined.. I feel very invested in these girls' lives and I MUST read the next one to find out what happens.
Prologue sets up the cut-throat environment quickly. Been meaning to read this for ages.

Up to ch5. Don’t know how people survive such pressurised environments.
Up to ch7. I always admired those who made ballet look easy, but each of them has their own pressures on this story.
Up to ch13. Not sure how people can be so focused as to injure themselves willingly.
Up to ch20. Everyone knows about Bette, but why aren’t they doing anything about her?

Up to ch28. It wouldn’t surprise me if there was a murder! They’re all quite mentally/ emotionally fragile. Not sure what’s ‘pretty’ about them.
Up to ch40. I’m torn between being horrified and amazed by the behaviour described. Such a weird world.
