Kate S | 6459 comments Write a task for yourself! If you repeat this task (can be used 3 times total), you must use the same task each time. Cannot be used as a combo.

Please use this space to share your personal task for the summer season!

Valerie Brown | 3263 comments I can't believe how nerve-wracking it is to commit to this by writing it here.... :)

I will read a physical (hard copy) book I own that does not fit any of the other tasks. This is to help me achieve 2019 Personal Goal #4:

'4. This is the MOST problematic goal, but I am not giving up! => read at least 40 of the piled up books (I now have approx. 86!!! that can't fit on my real life shelves) **AND** donate to spring + fall book sales"

message 3: by Bea (last edited Jun 02, 2019 08:36AM) (new)

Bea I have several challenges that are focused on series, so...my task will be to read books in series that I have already started. No #1 books unless I have already read a book later in the series!

Oops! I ended up duplicating task 10.8.

Lynn (lynnsreads) 10.1 Read a book that has won a Science Fiction award.

Read a book that was planned for a prior RwS challenge but was never read.

I'm thinking that's what my challenge will be like too @June! I was pretty abysmal in the Spring challenge - the wheels really fell off for me, so this will be a good chance to get one of the books from that list read because I had great ideas for each task. :-)

message 7: by Tawallah (new)

Tawallah | 440 comments Feel free to use it. I could broaden mine to include season that I’ve participated in.

message 8: by Norma (new)

Norma | 1816 comments Read the next 3 books in a series that I have already started.

message 9: by Rebekah (new)

Rebekah (bekalynn) How specific should it be? For example could I say , read three non-fiction books, or three nonfiction History books, or three nonfiction American History books?

It's your task - write it how it works for you!

Yeah!

message 12: by Kätlin (new)

Kätlin | 174 comments I really need to start reading some of those books that I have been meaning to read for a very long time, so I'm going to make mine to read a book that's on my Goodreads "to-read" shelf and was added before the start of the summer season. So anything I add now wouldn't count.

message 13: by Rebekah (new)

Rebekah (bekalynn) 10.1 Design Your Own Task - Rebekah

Read a non- fiction book

Elizabeth (Alaska) | 14225 comments I have so many books already penciled in that I hesitate to even do this. But I was looking at the list of Young authors, and think I should do a better job of having some on my list. So,

Read a book by a Young author that doesn't fit any other task.

The author list in the Quick Links post includes the Young column. You are free to make a copy for yourself or download the sheet and sort to your heart's content.

Oh I see! I did check Quick Links but didn't go as far as opening any links. Thanks!

Rosemary | 4275 comments My task will be the same as Rebekah's*: Read a non-fiction book.

*not that I'm copying or anything :)

message 23: by [deleted user] (new)

Since I'm trying to reduce the number of unread books on my shelves, my task will be to read a book that I've owned for at least a year (as of June 1, 2019).

Beth Robinson (bethrobinson) | 1174 comments My personal task is to read one of my leather Easton Press books I have never read before.

When I was first married we subscribed to a couple series, although we did stop them after a time, and I have picked up assorted used volumes since. There is something special about holding such a fancy leather bound volume, for all that I love my e-book access. It annoys me a little that I have not read all of them, because they are so nice. They are nice to look at too, but I bought them to enjoy, not just decorate. So here I go.

I was browsing through the list of authors the group has read on the quick list link. Would it be possible to expand Column A so that more of the name is visible? Because it is View only (which of course it should be) I cannot get an arrow to expand it as a viewer.

Done.
