Glad to help you with your alphabetical challenge. I'm going to pick Colonel Darcy by Timothy Underwood for you to help get that hard to find 'U' letter. I've not read it, but I'll be glad to get your thoughts on it. Hope its a good one. :)

Thanks, I was planning to read this for another reading challenge so its handy you picked it 😊😊
Howdy, Kirk! I haven't read any of the books on your list but a lot of people have enjoyed Mr. Darcy's Enchantment so I'll pick that for you. Have a magical moment!
Abigail wrote: "Howdy, Kirk! I haven't read any of the books on your list but a lot of people have enjoyed Mr. Darcy's Enchantment so I'll pick that for you. Have a magical moment!"Great, thanks!!!!
Abigail, so many of your choices are my TBR list, too! How about The Meyersons of Meryton? I’m excited to read this one myself. Love the concept, and I’d love also to support a new author. (At least, I believe she’s new to JAFF? Sorry if I’ve got that wrong.) Hope you enjoy!
Thanks, Kristin, for your pick! Excited to return to Highbury, as I haven’t visited Emma or her neighbors in a while!
Oh goody goody, that was the one I hoped you'd pick! I have it on my Kindle and have been holding back because I had put it on this list. Thank you, Christina!
I needed that thank you Sophia! the past couple months been tough and emotionaltorn between 2 choices for you. need to think.
as much as I'm curious what I was Jane austen best friend is like and how you like it. I'm going with syrie james book. I read it and is my favorite by her!
LOL, I end up picking out of curiosity half the time too. Oooh, but a favorite book of yours will be fun to read, too. :)
Thanks, Patricia!
Thanks, Patricia!
The Meyersons of Meryton was interesting and I'm glad I read it, but I felt it needed tightening and polish.
Abigail wrote: "The Meyersons of Meryton was interesting and I'm glad I read it, but I felt it needed tightening and polish."Thanks for sharing your thoughts, Abigail! I'm curious to discover how and how much the story of the Meyersons connects with Elizabeth and Darcy's story.
The interweaving of their stories is quite wonderful, the enrichment mostly on Elizabeth’s side. It’s a fateful encounter for Darcy as well, though my lips are sealed on that subject!
I had a delightful time with my pick, Patricia. Great choice! I confess that I do wish that I had been reading non-fiction and it was true that someone found a finished novel and we could all have one more. :)
Abigail wrote: "Howdy, Kirk! I haven't read any of the books on your list but a lot of people have enjoyed Mr. Darcy's Enchantment so I'll pick that for you. Have a magical moment!"Thanks again! Laugh at myself...I should have checked the reviews. I struggled thru the middle of the book as it went deeper and deeper into the evil magic. Something(s) is rotten at Rosings!! Good grief.
Wait, is it August already? Oops, I got a little behind on my Austenesque reading in late July! But this evening I at last finished reading Mrs. Bates of Highbury, which Kristin chose as my July “Someone Else Pick It For Me” read. I admit that I had a hard time getting into this book, which is part of the reason I was still reading it in August. But once I reached about the halfway point, I began to enjoy the novel. I suppose I had to let go of my version of Highbury and accept Cresswell’s, which is really quite well done in many ways. It’s funny that I don’t have nearly so difficult a time accepting wildly different versions of Pride and Prejudice, but I get into a tizzy when Hetty Bates or Mr. Woodhouse aren’t exactly as I imagined them. Not sure why I’m so much more inflexible about a book I’ve read fewer times and don’t love as much as P&P (though I do love Emma). Anyway, I’m very glad I read the book. It gave me a lot to think about — so thanks for picking it for me, Kristin!

Here's how it will work:
Sophia will match people up and leave a comment with a list of who will choose for whom.
When you see the person you are to pick for, then look at their list in the above comments and leave a new comment with their name and the book you chose for them by June 30th.
You also need to watch and see what book your person chose from your list for you.
You have the rest of the month to read the book.
So if this sounds like something you would like to do, just comment below leaving your name and list of book choices for someone to pick your July book.
