Atonement is already broken down into three parts so we will read each part as our sections, regardless of length.

Please place spoilers behind a spoiler tag!

Ashley I finished the book on Friday night and watched the movie on Saturday. I loved both!

I was so sad for Robbie and Cecilia. Briony never thought of the consequences for her selfish actions and would have to live the rest of her life with that shame and guilt. I can't say I ever grew to like Briony. The novel was a very belated effort on her part and really was only to ease her conscience. I don't feel it was good enough and did not compel me to forgive her.

I found the Lola and Paul Marshall relationship to be very interesting. I was definitely surprised at how that turned out.
