The Bachelor Team Challenge Round 2 - Q&A/Announcements

Thanks!"
Along with that I was wondering about any kind of object on the cover that has star/moon/sun on it - like a flag, tattoo (as mentioned), piece of clothing, etc.?

Thank you!

I would accept the first three, but the last one looks red, not orange.

O is for Old
Read a book that was published at least 10 years ago.
You will need a book published prior to August 10, 2009. Provide the publication date you are using, along with a link if it is a different edition than your original link.
Remember books must be 90 pages and MPG Romance!!
You have until Friday, August 16 @ Midnight US EST to post your completion(s).
Please ensure that your completion post conforms to message #2 of your team thread. If you complete more than one book for the date task, be sure to include that information in your completion post. Remember no discussion in your completion posts! Links are mandatory, if they are missing you will be asked to add them and REPOST.

OK, thank you!

I've been going back and forth on this one... And when I do that, I try to side with the participant. So, this one works - but it is really, really close!

If the book has been released as a stand-alone in 2016 but originally appeared in an anthology in 2003 can I use it?

Thanks for the links that helps. Yes, you can. Include the link the anthology in your qualifications.
For others considering the same type of book - if it says originally published with a date that qualifies or originally published in another title that was published with a date that qualifies, it is allowed. The precis or GR main book page needs to say something that points you to the original published date and a link to that anthology is needed in your qualification.

Awesome! Thanks Kat!

Congrats on winning the Speed Dating Rose Team 4 - Loving the Lotharios!!

The first is an easy no. The second is really close, but I will allow it 0 the thumbnail looks more red, but enlarged it looks more orange.

Thanks! I thought it would be close, but I figured by asking the worst you could say was no, but if it did pass I found a book.

I read The Beast In Him and when I was updating my shelves I saw that there was this cover option

Just looking at it, I'm thinking less than 25%-ish orange. Dropped it into the color extractor and that is about right, much more brown than orange. I would say no to this one - orange needs to be the primary color, even it it isn't over 50%. Sorry, I hope you liked it anyway! 🤞🏼

Thought as much. Oh well. Thanks MKat!

OK, another one for Ride. Do skates count as a mode of transportation?

Well, that is certainly a ride! But not a mode of transportation. ☹️
Though skates can be a mode of transportation - my son used that almost exclusively until his senior year! Let me qualify that, roller skates - ice skates are quite limited as transportation.

Working on it, got distracted by dinner.

First Row: Barely, but yes - No, too red - yes, I'd say that is a moon
Second Row: Yes and yes
Third Row: If you hadn't explained it, I wouldn't have seen it, but yes that works.
Sorry for the delay.

Oh, well. It was worth a shot! The skates I was thinking of are ice skates.

ETA: I found a couple more I need a ruling on :)

I'm going to say yes to all of those, the first was by far the easiest though.

First one - yes.
Second barely, but the first is better.
Of the next three, the second would be ok. The first and third are really iffy.
If I read it wrong and there are different editions of more than two books, please let me know!

Thanks MKat :)

I have outstanding corrections requested for:
Team 9 - Team Thread
Team 11 - Team Thread and Scavenger Hunt Thread

Only in context. Pilots wings, bird wings or a tattoo with wings - no, those aren't going to work. Wings on a shifter, angel or dragon could qualify in context.

Please remember that all tags/lists must qualify IN CONTEXT!! Links MUST be provided.
Don't make more work for yourself than necessary - if the qualifier is in the title or on the cover, use it! You don't have to go searching for tags to make it work. 😊 If the link you use for the book is the same you are using for the page count and edition - say so (see above edition or something similar)! That saves us all some steps. But please double check your links!
You may use separate editions of your Scavenger Hunt books to qualify for the different tasks. Links MUST be provided.
R is for Roar - Read a book with an animal on the cover or in the story, shapeshifters count. Qualification from cover, title, précis, tag or list.
To qualify with an animal on the cover, you need to show the qualifying cover. If the cover is stylized, it needs to represent the actual animal. To qualify from the title, précis, tag or list you will need to post the title, quote the precis, or provide a link to the shelf/tag or list. To qualify it needs to include: animal, shifter, dog, cat, horse or other animal name. Tags such as vet/veterinarian, game warden or zookeeper will not qualify.
R is for Rambling - Read a book over 225 pages long.
To qualify, an English language edition of the book must be over 225 pages long. Post the qualifying page count, with link if necessary, as your qualification.
R is for Ride - Read a book with a mode of transportation on the cover.
State the form of transportation and include the qualifying cover in your completion post. To qualify, the cover needs to show something that gets a person from one place to another - a car, an airplane, a boat, a bike, a horse, a carriage, an elevator. Feet will not be allowed as a mode of transportation for this task. Odd forms of transportation, i.e. a broom in a book about witches, MUST be in context - a broom would not qualify without the witches. To use one of these unusual types of transportation, you will need to state either that the precis confirms your use or provide a link to a tag/shelf or list that does.
R is for Run - Read a sports romance or a book with an MC who is an athlete. Qualification from the title, précis, tags or list.
To qualify with the title or precis, put the title or quote the precis. To qualify from a tag/shelf or list, provide a link showing the shelf or list. You will need a the name of a sport in the title, or something in the precis that references a sport or states that a MC is an athlete. Tags or lists can include sports, athlete, football, hockey or other sports to qualify.

This week, we will not be correcting any completion posts, but will be checking the threads. If they are missing elements and are not corrected/reposted, they will not count. Teammates, help each other out! Double check for qualifiers, MPG romance, page count and that all info is in all completion posts!
PLEASE, include that your post is a repost when making corrections and don't forget which book number it is for you!!
In the Scavenger Hunt thread, I will only be listing the claims that are complete. The first complete post for any book will claim it. If the book doesn't qualify, I will still comment stating so. Follow the dots here - if the book is listed, all is good. If the book isn't listed, but I didn't comment, something is wrong/missing in your completion post - and the book can be claimed by another participant.
We will only be answering questions in the Q&A or Scavenger Hunt threads! If you want a quicker response, post in the Q&A thread.

❤️ Information required when posting your completion/s: ❤️
❤️ Date Task
❤️ Book/cover link
❤️ Page numbers with source
❤️ How book qualified, with links or cover as necessary. Links required for lists, tags and other editions.
Remember, it is not enough to just tell us something, we need to know HOW you know the book qualifies!! Is it in the precis? Say so! Is it from a tag/shelf or list? Provide a link! It is on the cover? Show the cover!
❤️ Dated Completed with Rating.
❤️ If this is your second (or more) book for the task, also include that information.
Please include only this information. A small review may be included if desired, but is not required. No other discussion allowed though.
❤️You will need make a new post for your completions.❤️ If you update a prior post, i.e., if you saved posts for your completions, they will be missed when I do the accounting for each date. Make sure your books count - make a new post!
Although you will not need to make selection posts like in the PtP, your teammates might like ideas for what to read so sharing what you're reading could be very helpful. If you have any question if your book qualifies, it would be better to find out before you read it - ask your teammates or in the Q&A/Announcement thread.

I'm going to say no to 'beast' in the title, but I would say yes to animal on the cover - there is a horse, monkeys and birds. 😊

Awesome. I didn't even notice the animals on the cover. Thanks! :)

Pets will work.

My google search says that is the British Islands and that was not allowed for Beach. If you have info otherwise, please let me know.
