Hi Grace! Great question! Yeeeeees!!! I listen to country music while I write. I just feel like country music captures all the feels of the love we find in new adult romances. Brett Young’s “Sleep Without You” plays a huge part in my next release, Kozart, a rock star romance! And, I usually put a Spotify playlist on my website for each book I write so people know what I was listening to and what inspired me while writing a particular book.

Oh, good question, Peggy!! I’ve been asked if Flip will get a book, but I’m not sure right now. But I will say, I never thought Grady would get a book, and I wrote For Emery. So I guess, you never know...

I thought this was an easy question, but I’ve changed my mind ten times!! First, I thought Kiera from Thoughtless because I loooooove Kellan Kyle, but that book put me through the ringer as a reader, so there’s no way I could’ve handled it if I were actually her. So, I’m going with Eva from Bared to You because Gideon Cross worships her. And she saved such a powerful man. I love that!!

Good question! I get a giant knot in my stomach when I have to write cheating scenes(my books don’t usually have cheating unless it’s in a prologue). But personally, I hate cheaters, and for that reason, I hold off on having to write those scenes until the end because they make me so uneasy.

Everything inspires me!!! Music, movies, television shows, commercials, pictures, people I see on the street. But usually, it’s just a feeling I get from those things that sparks an idea and then I just run with it. I am a person who rewatches my favorite parts in movies or television shows over and over again because those give me the feels that I want to give my characters.

Good question, Brianna! I always wanted to be a film director. Then when I was in college, I wrote a screenplay. I thought that’s what I wanted to do, but getting a screenplay turned into a movie is very difficult, so I kind of gave up on that idea. But I was an avid reader, so one day I just decided I’d try writing a book and here I am!

Good question, Maria! I love all my characters for different reasons. But I’ll go with Hayden from UNTIL ALEX. That was my first book, and Hayden holds such a special place in my heart. He is so tortured, but only because of trauma he saw when he was a child. He’s trying to be the best man he can be, but struggling. Then he meets Alex who brings out the man he’s meant to be. *Swoon*😉

This is a fantastic question, Nicole. Yes! I get inspiration from television shows and movies, but more so moments in those shows and movies. I replay moments more than entire movies to get those feels. My husband is constantly erasing Pride and Prejudice and The Holiday from our dvr. But I keep recording them😂 I love television shows and movies with enemies to lovers stories. One Tree Hill, Veronica Mars, Pride and Prejudice, Sweet Home Alabama. I could go on...I have a real thing for reformed bad boys😂

Hi Carolina! For me the most difficult part of the writing process is knowing if a story will resonate with readers. I often wish I could read my book for the first time or like a first time reader. When you know a story so well, you don’t get those feels readers get. So you’re never sure if you’ve pulled it off.

Hi Nicole! I’m currently editing my first new adult rock star romance, Kozart, releasing July 10th! I’m so excited for people to read it!! I’ve been told it’s similar to my first book, Until Alex. Hopefully, everyone will fall in love with Kozart and Aubrey!

Hi Sue! There are so many amazing authors out there who I admire. LJ Shen, Penelope Ward, Penelope Douglas, Vi Keeland, Sylvia Day, Jay Crownover...I could keep going...

This is a hard question, Zsuzsa! I’d say I don’t have one all time favorite book, as strange as that is. But I do have books I reread because I love the feels they give me. Some of those are Rule by Jay Crownover, Bared to You by Sylvia Day, and Bully by Penelope Douglas. I’ve got others, but those are three I really love.
