I enjoyed Julie Mulhern's Country Club mysteries so much, I devoured the whole series! (Remember I listen to them on my commute to work. It took roughly three days per book, with extra time on the weekends.) I love the return to the 1970s (yes, I lived through them). The TV, book and music references sometimes made me laugh out loud, yet Mulhern manages to tackle some serious social problems, too. At times Mulhern reminded me of Diane Mott Davidson's Goldy Bear catering mysteries and at others of Janet Evanovich's Stephanie Plum stories. (Although there are no recipes and no car explosions.) And, as a midwesterner with a cousin in KC, I've been to several of the places she talks about so visualizing her scenes was easy. I'm so glad you picked this series for me, Meg. They were just what I needed after several heavier reads in my other book clubs. Thanks!

This is one of my favorite cozy series! There's a new one out today that I preordered - something I rarely do.

Awww, just finished my second book Death Waits in the Dark by Julia Buckley. You can not go wrong reading this series A Writer’s Apprentice Mystery, great books, great author!!!
Finished my second book, Something Borrowed, Something Bleu. Very enjoyable series and am glad I still have a couple books left in it.
I have almost completed listening to my first book, The Beautiful Mystery by Louise Penny. However, it now appears that my second book, How the Light Gets In will not be available from the library until sometime in July. So I will be completing this month's challenge late.
I was delayed in getting my second book for June (waitlist at the library), but I finally did get it. It was definitely worth the wait! This 9th book in the Inspector Gamache series is the BEST yet!
I love the June series which was chosen for me, but a long drawn out house move in June delayed my reading. Then I left
behind while on a trip overseas, so I only finished it this week. Now I’ve nearly finished
too.
