So my memmories are very fuzzy after my accident but I will attempt to discribe this the best I can.
Apologies for any Grammer/spelling errors I typed this on the phone
Was it new: not sure but it was free on Google play, that's how I found it. (Not in my account anymore)
It was about 3-4 ish years ago.
The protagonist was a poor boy With nothing to his name, he took a liking for a girl about his age and talked to her a few times.
But the girls boyfriend a guard (guard in training not sure) did not like them talking after the 2-3rd time the protagonist and the girl talked
The guard got angry and gathered a few friends, they then attacked and pinned the protagonist near the blacksmith. The gaurd then took a blacksmiths hammer and crushed both of the protagonists hands.
The girl finds the protagonist and takes him to a healer, (that could not help him) after some time of the kid being a begger, alive but with ruined hands.
An envoy from a previously unknown tribe, near the mountains past the wastelands arrived
Some how that girl the protagonist was interested got in touch with a wizard to attempt to heal the protagonists hands.
The protagonist was brought into a fancy room with the recently arrived envoy the king and the wizard, and they made him a deal, be our diplomat and we will fix your hands.
The protagonist agrees and the envoy produced a box with holes on both ends and told the protagonist to stick his hands in the box and no matter what don't pull them out.
They were remade in living metal.
He then left to learn the way of the mountain tribes
That would be the first few chapters
The only other interesting facts of the book I could think of is in the 2-3 books it shows the gods as real and they are the 7 mountins, and the protagonist made his own weapon a hammer axe with metal rings down the shaft for balance.
Thank you all in advance, I would love to re read this book.
