ZZ | 2 comments I read this book 10 or 11 years ago in a paperback and I think it was published sometime in the 20th century. As far as my memory serves me right, there is a scene in which the detective was eating his breakfast which includes a grapefruit. < spoiler> The murders were resolved when the detective revealed that the murderer is diabetic and that the murderer unconsciously released the birds in order to free them from their misery. However, the murderer killed himself < /spoiler>
