Barring the original crafting story, if it's an entertaining and well-paced story that covers all the crafting tropes, I'd be interested in that too. ^_-

What were your thoughts on The Sleeping Dragon? It's been about a decade+ since I read it and I've been wandering how it holds up between the early 2000's when I read it to now.

Quantum (quantumkatana) | 27 comments Unfortunately, it suffered from having to meet the mass paperback size requirements. Obviously, they cut out a lot of the actual quest itself, which should've been 75%, but it was crammed into 40-50%. So, the pacing was terribly off. Proofread-level editing was excellent, but they cut corners on editing for dialogue and consistency. Character development and plot were pretty strong. Although a brief scene, The Dragon at the end really came alive for me.
